Why they called us
The homeowner had a 12 year old roof with moderate granular loss but no active leaks. Two roofers told him it needed a full replacement, and he wanted a second opinion from someone who could actually explain why it might still have life left.
The problem
The shingles were drying out. Edges were starting to curl in spots and the gutters had more granules than normal after rain. A full replacement would have been premature, but doing nothing would have accelerated the decline.
Challenges
The roof had some minor moss in the north-facing valleys. We treated it before the rejuvenation so the oils would bond evenly and not seal moisture underneath.
What we did
