Why they called us
Their roof was due, but every roofer they called told them to hire the solar company separately, and the solar company told them to call the roofer first. Nobody would own the schedule or the production loss. They found us because we do both sides of that job with one team.
The problem
A 24 panel array on the rear slope sat on a roof with failing shingles and rusted flashing at the array penetrations. Two prior bids excluded solar entirely, which would have left the homeowners coordinating three vendors and an unknown number of days offline.
Challenges
The monitoring account had to be re-linked after the inverter power cycle. We stayed on it with the monitoring provider so the homeowners did not have to make that call themselves.
What we did
We built one schedule covering detach, roofing and reinstall. Panels came down and were racked on site, the roof was replaced with impact resistant shingles, all array penetrations were reflashed and sealed, then the array went back up on new mounts. We confirmed the system was producing before we left the property.
Two other roofers wanted nothing to do with the panels. Good Faith handled all of it and gave us one schedule and one invoice. The system was back online before they pulled off our street, and they showed me the production numbers on their phone to prove it.
